What do We Want to Achieve?
The main aim of the project is to create a model for creative workshops based on an inclusive process involving designers and socially marginalized groups that will lead to further collaborations.
At the end of the five-day workshop, the design teams will come up with product prototypes in the areas of textiles, graphic products and metal products which utilize the existing skills and manufacturing possibilities of four organizations in Sarajevo employing a majority of people with different disabilities: Association of the Deaf of Canton Sarajevo, Librag, Pismolik and the Centre for Self-Reliance.
The project aims to empower the disabled design partners, give them an understanding of mainstream design principles, presentation skills and access to a network of local designers with whom they can work when the project finishes.
Another goal of the project is to equip designers with an understanding of the inclusive design process, a set of skills that they can apply to their professional practice and access to the readily available manufacturing capabilities of the partner organizations.
An important consideration, which will be an integral part of the design brief, is that the products will can be manufactured and marketed in Sarajevo and beyond..

Šta želimo postići?
Osnovi cilj projekta je kreiranje modela za ostvarivanje kreativnih radionica zasnovanih na inkluzivnom procesu koji uključuje dizajnere i socijalno marginalizirane grupe. Radionice bi trebale potaknuti nastavak saradnje između učesnika.
Nakon petodnevne radionice, timovi dizajnera će osmisliti prototipove tekstilnih i grafičkih proizvoda, te proizvoda od metala, koristeći postojeće vještine i proizvodne kapacitete četiri organizacije iz Sarajeva koje pretežno zapošljavaju osobe sa posebnim potrebama: Centar za Samopouzdanje, Librag, Pismolik i Udruženje gluhih i nagluhih Kantona Sarajevo.
Ovim projektom se teži osnaživanju dizajnerskih partnera sa posebnim potrebama kroz edukaciju o osnovnim principima dizajna i prezentacije radova, pristupom mreži lokalnih dizajnera sa kojima mogu nastaviti saradnju nakon realizacije projekta.
Još jedan cilj projekta je edukacija dizajnera o inkluzivnom procesu dizajna, što će im biti od koristi u daljem profesionalnom radu. Dizajneri će imati pristup proizvodnim pogonima partnerskih organizacija, što će im biti od koristi i nakon završetka projekta.
Bitno je imati u vidu da ideje za proizvode moraju biti izvodive u pomenutim radionicama i privlačni kupcima u Sarajevu i šire.
